Term 3 - Week 8

 Kia Ora Whanau.

Welcome to week 8 of our 10 week Term.

This Term is certainly zooming by!

We have been busy the last few weeks planting our vegetables as part of our 'little garden' topic. This links to our overall Termly topic of belonging, connection to people, places and things. We have been showing such wonderful Manaakitanga  (care and kindness) towards our garden, just as we do to our friends and school environment. We have even had some children showing Manaakitanga by sweeping pathways and removing rubbish from our surroundings. Well done Nga Puna kids.

Welcome to our new children Khaleesi and Eddie. So happy to have you with us you big 5 year olds.

Calendar Art.

Have a hunt through the reading folders. Calendar art order forms have gone home today. We have made some beautiful butterfly's in Nga Puna. This is a fundraiser run by our P.T.A. A great way to support our school and stock up on Christmas presents for Grandparents and the likes.

Spotting Spring!
Spring is in the air! We have been cloud watching, feeling the wind on our faces, practising our 'pencil rolls' in this beautiful weather and discussing what happens during the season of Spring. To that end, this Wednesday the 9th of September we are heading down to St James Park for the afternoon to spot 'Spring'. We'll be back in time for the end of the day.
