Term 3 week 10

Kia Ora families. Welcome to week 10, the final week for Term 3 before holidays. We hope you all have an enjoyable holiday coming up and get in lots of rest and relaxation.  This Friday as a 'celebration' we are heading down to Plynlimon Park (Follow the cycle way over Wairakei road and it's on your right hand side). We are leaving school at 1:30. It would be great if you could meet us down there. A good  way to meet and connect with some of our new to Waimairi School families and/or getting together again...cause we can! Yay for level 1!!  You are more than welcome to leave for home from the park. Please just let us know your intentions and we can make sure your child brings their bag down with them.  Kia Ora Whānau. What a lovely time we had at St James Park last week 'Spotting Spring!". The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we found the journey equally as exciting as the destination! We waved to our old kindy through the tunnel, said hello to our friends houses along the way and enjoyed each others company as we explored our surroundings. Below are a few snapshots of our time. Can you see the shoot sprouting out of the acorn?! Spring has sprung. Reminders This Friday the 18th - Mufti day. More details to come Calendar art orders - Due in this Friday the 18th. See below for details Friday - As usual bike day - hotdog day - online orders only Have a lovely week all. Tina, Lynley and Fiona

Kia Ora Whanau. Welcome to week 8 of our 10 week Term. This Term is certainly zooming by! We have been busy the last few weeks planting our vegetables as part of our 'little garden' topic. This links to our overall Termly topic of belonging, connection to people, places and things. We have been showing such wonderful Manaakitanga  (care and kindness) towards our garden, just as we do to our friends and school environment. We have even had some children showing Manaakitanga by sweeping pathways and removing rubbish from our surroundings. Well done Nga Puna kids. Welcome to our new children Khaleesi and Eddie. So happy to have you with us you big 5 year olds. Calendar Art. Have a hunt through the reading folders. Calendar art order forms have gone home today. We have made some beautiful butterfly's in Nga Puna. This is a fundraiser run by our P.T.A. A great way to support our school and stock up on Christmas presents for Grandparents and the likes. Spotting Spring! Spring is
