Week 5 Term 2

Welcome to week 5 of our 10 week term.

A huge welcome to Mishary, Harley, Scarlett, Elijah, James and Ollie who are joining us in Nga Puna this week. Lovely to have you and your whanau with us as you start your schooling.

Also, a big welcome to our lovely Learning Assistant Debbie Gillet to our Nga Puna teaching team. (photo to come) Debbie is on our P.T.A and often helps out in the school coffee shop as well. Super lucky to have Debbie with us, she is fabulous with our tamariki.

A huge thank you to all parents and caregivers who are following the Ministry lead rules whilst on the school grounds. The QR code scanner sign in may feel like a pain but it really is absolutely essential to do this every time you come on to the school grounds.

 A few reminder from Mike, you are able to come onto the school grounds after 8:30am for drop offs. One person per family please and only after signing in, however you are unable to enter any building.
We are now able to open the  coffee shop up which supports our P.T.A. but please don't mingle in groups.
 All people must be off school grounds by 3:10 after pick ups.

Reminders
- Tuesday - CRT (Classroom release time) with Mr Lukes - Mr Lukes focusses on Physical         Educations when he takes our children.
- Anne - Teaches in Nga Puna Wednesday morning
- Queens birthday weekend - Public Holiday this coming Monday the 1st of June

Term 4 - Week 3

 Kia Ora families. Thank you so much for your support and understanding as we moved into our junior  Ngā Puna space at the end of last week. Yet again the resilience of our children and willingness from them to accept change is just outstanding. You should feel very proud of them all. We had a wonderful day in our new setting today. It was lovely to re connect with friends from the beginning of the year and with our other Junior teachers.   Our children walked through our lovely new building today to make connections with things that are the 'same' and things that are 'different'. The general consensus was people are the same, places are different! They did so well.  This Friday the 30th of October is our offical opening of our new school with ribbon cutting and all! It starts at 1:30 pm. You are welcome to take your child home early after this event. See the note below for more info. Also below is a copy of the note sent home today. Term 4 - Week 9

 Kia Ora Whanau. Welcome to Week 9 of our 10 Week Term. We are doing lots of reading and checking in class this week so reading folders will not be coming home each day. A reminder to continue to bring togs to school daily, particularly as the weather seems fabulous! Welcome to Hazel Ware who starts in Nga Puna this week. Lovely to have you with us Hazel you big 5 year old! A few reminders.  Friday - hotdog day, the last one for the year! Friday - bike day Togs daily Last day of school 18th of December 12:30 Term 1 starts on Wednesday February the 3rd Easter holiday is April 2 till April 6 incl. Friday April 16 is a Staff only day and the beginning of the holidays Term 2 begins on May 3 July 9 is a staff only day and the beginning of the holidays Term 3 begins on July 26 October 1 is a Staff only day and the beginning of the holidays October 18 is the start of Term 4 December 16 is the final day of the 2021 school year Have a lovely week all. Picnic at Edgar Macintosh Park tomorrow? (Friday the 18th) - Message from a parent.

  Kia ora koutou, Please see a lovely invitation for a get together after the assembly tomorrow. Unfortunately the teachers can’t attend as we still have to be ‘at school’ til 3!! Thank you so much to the parents who had this idea  a couple of nga Puna mums are going to have a picnic and paddle at Edgar Macintosh park tomorrow following the final assembly. All welcome. Would you consider sending a message to the nga Puna parents for anyone that is keen?
